The Central African Republic (CAR), formerly known as Ubangi-Shari, is a landlocked country in Central Africa. It is bordered by Chad to the north, Sudan to the northeast, South Sudan to the east, the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the south, the Republic of the Congo to the southwest, and Cameroon to the west. Bangui is the country's capital and largest city, at the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Central African Republic covers a land area of about 620,000 square kilometres (240,000 sq mi). As of 2024, it has a population of 5,357,744, and is in the scene of a civil war, which has been ongoing since 2012.
Despite its significant mineral deposits and other resources, such as uranium reserves, crude oil, gold, diamonds, cobalt, lumber, and hydropower, as well as significant quantities of arable land, the Central African Republic is among the ten poorest countries in the world and acknowledged as one of the unhealthiest countries.
In 2024, Pastor Joas, under the spiritual leadership and authority of Pastor Matthias (Senegal) was sent as a missionary to CAR to start evangelizing to the country and community. After the New Wave mission team visited and did a prayer walk with Pastor Joas and his team, the church was officially formed in May 2024. Pray in partnership with this young church, that God will bless their work and bring fruit to the harvest for the Kingdom.

Pray for wisdom and clear direction to help the church meet practical needs in its redesign and planning, so that the space can more effectively serve the congregation and the community. Pray that God will prepare suitable designers, craftsmen, and resources to ensure smooth construction. Pray that God will protect the safety of the entire project, that the construction workers will be protected during their work, and that God will grant the church patience and faith to rely on God’s provision and guidance during the process.
