Ottawa is the capital city of Canada, and it is also the center of the high tech industry. In Sept 2009, Pastor Kevin Zhang saw the need for gospel in Ottawa and received the vision of building a glorious church. Along with a few families, Pastor Zhang started River of Life Christian Church in Ottawa. From the beginning, the church has experienced abundant blessing. God prepared meeting facilities and coworkers for children ministry for them, and be with them in their cell groups and when they preach the gospel. Through the life of Pastor Kevin Zhang and his wife, God has worked among the congregation and cultivated humility, love towards God and people, and passion for mission in the church. The church has been growing steadily. 

Right now, they have over 10 cell groups, covering all different ages and needs, such as youth, adult, and sister’s cell groups. The group leaders were all trained and cared for through one-on-one discipleship training. We focus on equipping believers with the understanding and exercise of God’s word. They believe that through their personal lives, God will give wonderful changes and blessings to spread in our families, groups, communities, and nations. In 2024, we will focus on missionary work, hoping to reach more people in different countries through missionary work to preach the gospel. In 2025, we will continue to deepen our ministry to the next generation of youth and children because we see the importance of inheritance and hope to cultivate more next generation leaders of the Kingdom of God.
